In 1942, amidst shifting borders and uncertain times, a journey began, one rooted in soap, soil, and will. By 1960, the name Guide had entered India’s cleaning landscape through oil soap manufacturing. The road ahead wasn’t spotless; factory closures, market slowdowns, and trade halts marked its path. But like every tough stain, they were faced head-on.

 

Through the 70s and 80s, Guide pivoted into supplying non-edible oils and raw materials for soap production, supporting the backbone of North India’s cleaning industry.

 

But the true turning point came in 2000, when Ultra Guide Detergent Powder was launched. That’s when the we stopped following the market and started leading it.

 

Sahi raah dikhaye” is what Guide stands for.

A name that doesn’t just clean clothes but clears confusion, restores trust, and shows the right way forward for households across India.
